Dream Guitars is an award winning guitar shop located just minutes away in Weaverville, NC. Offering the finest handmade instruments from over 60 premiere Luthiers and preowned instruments for many more. Our staff is composed of experienced players including Grammy Winner Al Petteway and owner Paul Heumiller. The Dream Guitars showroom boasts nearly 200 instruments and shop visits are available by appointment. In addition to sales we offer consignment and quality repair services. J. S. Bogdanovich Guitars
Luthier John S. Bogdanovich builds classical guitars in Swannanoa, NC. Having been an accomplished guitarist has helped John design and build instruments that are played by musicians world wide. He is also the author of the popular book Classical Guitar Making: A Modern Approach to a Traditional Design, and has produced a 10-DVD series entitled Making a Concert Classical Guitar. John also offers a series of guitar building classes four times a year as well as a complete line of guitar building products available on the website.

Brad Earnhardt, classical guitarist and teacher
Brad began his studies at the North Carolina School of the Arts for high school and college in Winston-Salem. There, he studied under Larry Almeida and Aaron Shearer. He continued on with graduate school at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying under David Tanenbaum and the University of Arizona studying under Thomas Patterson. Brad has performed in solo and ensemble concerts for guitar societies and other organizations across the country. He teaches at the Asheville Music School.
Two Guitars, Yasmin Berkson and Lou Mowad
Website of two outstanding guitarists, Yasmin Berkson and Lou Mowad. They have been selected as Southern Bell/P.A.C.E. “Showcase Artist." They have been recognized and recommended by the National Endowment for the Arts. Their concerts in the United States have taken them from coast to coast. Internationally, Yasmin and Lou have toured the Orient twice, with concerts in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and a five city tour of the Republic of South Korea.
Paul Bowman, classical guitarist and teacher
A recent transplant to WNC, Paul Bowman has B.M. and M.M. in classical guitar from the Manhattan School of Music in New York, and recently completed his D.M.A. in Contemporary Performance from U.C. San Diego. First Prize Winner at the VIth International Competition (“Casa de España”) for Classical Guitar in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Bowman is a specialist in new music, having over 70 works written and dedicated to him. He regularly tours and performs with flutist/composer/conductor Harvey Sollberger, as well as actively encouraging young composers to write for the guitar. Dr. Bowman has to date produced a 12 C.D. box set of published and unpublished recordings and has recorded on the Albany, Mode, SEAMUS, Vienna Modern Masters, Capstone Univ. of Illinois Experimental Music and Hungaraton record labels.
James Barr, Solo Classical Guitar Stylist
James has played professionally since his early teen years, in styles ranging from swing, classical, folk, jazz, rock, theater, blues and even square dance.He attended Berklee College and B.U. summers on scholarship while still in high school.After a foray into film making, advertising, and marketing in Florida, James returned to music, focusing on classical guitar repertoire, as well as pop music played in his unique style, influenced by his jazz, classical and Indian studies.James is a member of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, and a past or current member of AFM#802 NYC, SAG, AFTRA and other professional associations.
Amy Brucksch, classical guitarist and teacher
Guitarist and education coordinator Amy Brucksch, lives in Tryon, NC, is an active performer in the Carolinas as a soloist and chamber musician. Formerly classical guitar professor at the University of Toledo and Ohio Arts Council Touring Artist, she performed on several recordings with the Masterworks Chorale and appeared with the Toledo Symphony, Toledo Opera, and TSO Chamber Players. An honors graduate in performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, she has a Master’s in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. She and flutist Kate Steinbeck recently released Luminescence, joined by River Guerguerian and cellist Franklin Keel.
David Stevenson, guitarist/composer
Stevenson is a classically trained guitarist who has clearly left the purist's path to pursue a unique voice for his instrument - the nylon stringed guitar. When not writing genre-busting music he is detailing the purist's path to guitar students at UNCA where he has been an adjunct teacher for 20 years. Stevenson is also on the faculties of Mars Hill College and Clemson University and additionally maintains Western North Carolina’s only Suzuki Guitar Studio, leading the area’s youngest guitarists to the finer realms of classical expression.
